#GamingBytes: Five best stealth-based games you should definitely check out
Some gamers love to announce their presence. They enter the scene all guns blazing, cause utter mayhem, and when they die, they go in a blaze of glory! Other gamers try and play a smarter game. They're mindful of their steps, strategize, and use stealth. The enemy has no idea what hit them! If you are the latter, here are 5 games you'd love.
The best game to use stealth in the open world
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain keeps you on your toes at all times. One of the best stealth games ever created, this Kojima Productions title has the player fighting multiple battles in a desert landscape. This game is the first in the series to have an open-world setting. Naturally, the Cold-War based game provides much more wiggle room and tactical freedom.
A game where your actions can alter the consequences
The multiple award-winning Dishonored series is known for its innovative gameplay where every decision the player makes can affect the entire in-game world. While it is not a totally stealth-focused game, playing it in that manner can give you some extra XP. If you have already played the first Dishonored game, there are two more titles in the series, each with its own USPs.
'Blend in' with the real OG of stealth games
There is no one better at Stealth than a Hitman and the Hitman series leaves no stone unturned in establishing this fact. There have been multiple games in the series, some good, some bad but the best was 2006's episodic game. Its gameplay is smooth and seamless, the Agent is suave, and there's some impressive AI at work. Its sequel is amazing as well.
The caped crusader is all about stealth
Take any game from the Arkham series (okay, you can leave Arkham: Origins) and you'll have a near-perfect game that's a blend of everything from superhero action to detective-like stealth. The games often have Batman solve crimes and battle hordes of bad guys. It's usually not a good choice to make your presence known and the series has an impressive stealth-based mechanism for that.
Did someone say...assassins?
When the title of a game has the word 'assassin' in it, you can be absolutely certain that there's a considerable amount of stealth-based missions in there. The latest game in the Assassin's Creed franchise, Odyssey takes place in ancient Greece and has a number of missions that can be completed in a number of ways. Stealth skills and weapons are upgradable in it.
