Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Kolkata Knight Riders in match number 35 of the IPL. RCB rode on a ferocious ton by Virat Kohli (100) to notch 213/4. In reply, Nitish and Andre Russell played brilliant knocks to take KKR close but they lost by 10 runs This was KKR's fourth straight defeat this season and a third one at home.
Kohli smashes fifth career IPL century
Kohli smashed his maiden ton in IPL 2019. This was also his fifth career century in IPL history. He needs one more hundred to equal Chris Gayle (6) and went past David Warner/ Shane Watson (4 tons each). Kohli smashed nine fours and four sixes. He now has 186 IPL career sixes. Kohli also needs three more fours to surpass Suresh Raina (473).

KKR's Andre Russell became the first pacer to take 50 wickets for the franchise in IPL. Moeen Ali (66) hit the joint-fifth fastest fifty this season (24 balls). This was Moeen's highest score in the IPL. The Englishman slammed his third career IPL fifty as well. Sunil Narine (1/32) now has 16 scalps against RCB. It is the highest tally recorded by a foreigner.
Kuldeep concedes joint-most runs by a spinner in IPL
Kuldeep's poor form in IPL 2019 continued. The left-arm wrist-spinner gave away 59 runs in his four over spell. He scripted an unwanted record of joint-most runs conceded by spinner in IPL. Imran Tahir had conceded 59 runs against MI for Delhi in 2016.

How did the match pan out?
KKR started off well and kept RCB under the wraps until the thirteenth over. Virat was played well at one end. Moeen Ali changed the complexion of the game with a blitz. From there on it was RCB all the way as Kohli maximized at the death. In reply, Nitish and Russell scored fifties as they came close but couldn't get their team home.

Dale Steyn now has 94 wickets in the IPL. Kohli has now scored 50-plus runs in his last three IPL innings against Kolkata - 68*, 84, 100. Kohli has amassed 378 runs in IPL 2019. Nitish slammed his third fifty this season. It was also his eighth career IPL fifty. Andre Russell became the sixth batsman to surpass 350 runs this season.
