#GamingBytes: Five tips to win PUBG
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or PUBG is, probably, the most popular 'Battle Royale' game of 2018. A hundred players are dropped onto a shrinking map and they have to emerge winners. Players can go solo, in pairs or as squads. It is not easy to get the elusive chicken dinner battling the armed combatants. Here, we bring you five tips to win at PUBG.
Landing determines survival
Players should select the landing spots wisely as it will determine their gameplay. It is best to start scouting locations as soon as you are on the battle plane. Pick the fringe areas and make way to the center as the playzone shrinks. This ensures good looting, higher survival rate, and smarter enemy engagements. Familiarize yourself with maps and their best landing spots.
Keep your eyes peeled at all times
One of the key aspects in PUBG is spotting. When you are up against a hundred players, you have to see them before they see you. Some people prefer high vantage points, so get a good scoped long-range weapon, get on a high ground and shoot. It is also important to watch for enemy attacks, especially in solos, where no one can revive you.
Don't be a sitting duck
Unless you are a camper, sorry sniper, or have a great cover, it is always wise to keep moving. Especially in open spaces, players should never stop. They are literally sitting ducks in open maps like Miramar. On that note, avoid running in straight lines because shooters can trace the pattern. Further, avoid vehicles as much as possible. They are noisy and easily detectable.
Don't walk into battle empty handed
Some players are so eager to kill that they pick up the bare minimum gear and rush to battle. It is a sure shot way of getting killed. Stock up on at least tier 2 armor and some decent guns before entering a fire-fight. On that note, don't get so busy looting that you are killed by enemies or caught outside the playzone.
Pick a smart gun-combination to suit your gameplay
In 'Battle Royale', guns are the most important things obviously. Choose your guns based on your playing style. Ask yourself how you would like to face enemies- from far, mid-ranges or up close. Choose snipers, assault rifles or shotguns accordingly. However, the best weapon combinations one could have, for diverse battles are sniper and assault rifle, assault rifle and sub-machine gun.
Supply drops are high danger zones
Unless you are a pro at PUBG, avoid the supply drops as a lot of players go there and heavy fire-fights follow. The smarter thing would be to camp near a drop site and pick off players as they arrive.
