Decoding IPL seasons with KKR completing double over MI
Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday beat Mumbai Indians in Match 60 of the Indian Premier League 2024 season. A rain-curtailed match saw KKR score 157/7 in their allotted 16 overs before restricting MI to 139/8. With this 18-run triumph, KKR completed the double over MI this season. Let's decode the other IPL seasons that saw the Knight Riders beat MI on multiple occasions.
Why does this story matter?
MI have dominated the scenes against KKR in the competition's history. Out of the 34 matches played between the two teams, MI have won 23 times. KKR have emerged victorious on just 11 occasions. However, as many as three IPL seasons have seen the Knight Riders register multiple triumphs over the Mumbai-based team. The 2024 competition is the latest addition to this list.

MI, however, were folded for 113. Their other clash, in Pune, saw KKR chase down 162 (162/5) with four overs to spare as Pat Cummins made a 15-ball 56*.
