ICC Rankings: Rabada is the top ranked Test bowler
Kagiso Rabada might be fretting over the two-match suspension handed to him by the ICC, but he also has a reason to celebrate. He has regained the top spot in the ICC rankings. The 22-year-old speedster crossed the 900-point mark in the latest ratings released by the ICC. Rabada dethroned England's Jimmy Anderson to make the top spot his own.
Rabada is the 4th South African to breach 900 mark
Rabada regained the top rank after his mind-blowing spell in the second Test against Australia, where he finished with 11 wickets. The hosts beat Australia by 6 wickets in Port Elizabeth courtesy of Rabada's efforts. Rabada, who now has 902 points, is the fourth South African to cross the 900 mark after Philander, Pollock and Steyn.
Ashwin jumps to number four rank
As far as Indian players are concerned, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin gained two spots as Australian pacers Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc slipped in the rankings. Hazlewood is placed 5th after dropping a point while Starc slipped to 9th from the 5th spot. Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja held onto his number three spot.
AB de Villiers heavily rewarded
The Test batsman rankings saw South Africa's star AB de Villiers gain 5 spots to finish at 7th. He scored 126* and 28 in the second Test. Hashim Amla moved up one spot to make it to 9th place in the rankings.
India will remain top ranked team till April

India have already been presented with the ICC Test Championship mace and $1 million prize money. South Africa have also been assured of the number two rank and a prize money of $500,000.
