Spain whitewashes India 5-0 in world pay-offs
On the third day of the world group play-offs, the mighty Spain whitewashed India 5-0. Spain has now entered the World Group after a gap of two years. In the reverse singles match, Sumit Nagal gave a tough fight to Marc Lopez before losing 3-6, 6-1, 3-6. David Ferrer won 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets against Ramkumar Ramanathan.
Argentina beat Britain; reach Davis Cup finals
Argentina defeated the defending Davis Cup champions Great Britain to reach the finals of 2016 Davis Cup. Britain was trailing 2-1 after first two days of play. On the third day, Andy Murray beat Argentina's Guido Pella in the first singles match on day three, equaling the scores. In the deciding match, Leonardo Mayer beat Daniel Evans to win it for Argentina.

Marin Cilic helps Croatia to enter finals
Marin Cilic defeated France's Richard Gasquet 6-3, 6-2, 7-5 in straight sets to take Croatia into the finals of Davis Cup. Leading 2-1 on the third day, Cilic clinched the first match. However, his team-mate Marin Draganja lost to Lucas Pouille in the second match. Croatia, who won the Davis Cup title in 2005 have entered their second finals.
