Halep remains world number one, Nadal tops men's show

2018 French Open champion Simona Halep won the Rogers Cup on Sunday beating the familiar foe Sloane Stephens.
Courtesy of a 7-6 (8-6), 3-6, 6-4 victory, the Romanian has assured her world number one status in the Women's Tennis Association rankings released on Monday.
Rafael Nadal defeated Tsitsipas to claim the men's section of the Rogers Cup.
He is also the number one player.

Halep way ahead of her rivals
Halep has a total of 8,061 points and a lead of 1,926 over second placed Caroline Wozniacki.
Stephens is on third place and and has 5,727 points overall.
Halep has a chance to surge atop with an extended lead by the time the year ends.
The likes of Caroline Garcia and Petra Kvitova gained places inside the top 10.

French Open 2018 winner Rafa Nadal enjoys first spot in the ATP rankings over 2nd placed Roger Federer.
Nadal has a whopping 10,220 points and leads Federer (6,480) comfortably.
Juan Martin del Potro has climbed up the charts to number 3 with Alexander Zverev and Grigor Dimitrov following suit.
Greek 20-year-old Tsitsipas, broke into the top 20 following his run at the Rogers Cup.
