However, in an unfortunate development, this former Pakistani First-Class cricketer could not even continue his domestic career, as he has become a truck driver to earn his living. A Pakistani journalist recently put forward the story of Fazal Subhan, on social media, where he narrated the agony he was going through and how he struggled to earn his living. Subhan also added that this is not just the case with him, but other First-Class cricketers as well, who were enduring a tough period, as he criticized PCB's new departmental policy.

Subhan went on to criticize PCB's new departmental cricket policy, as he said that back then, they used to earn Rs. 1,00,000 per month. However, following the change in the policy, their earning is down to Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000. This is not enough to keep them going. However, he was glad to have the job of a truck driver now.

"I am grateful that at least I have this job right now because of the way things are, who knows if I would even have this tomorrow. We have no choice; we have to do something for our children," said Subhan in the video.

Who is Subhan?
Subhan hails from Karachi, having played U-19 cricket for Pakistan, besides playing T20s for Karachi Dolphins. Being a batting all-rounder, he has played 40 First-Class matches, scoring 2,301 runs at an average of 32.87. He has also played 29 List A matches. He has 659 runs at an average of 23.53. He has also played six T20s. However, he hasn't claimed a wicket yet.
Mohammad Hafeez expresses his sympathy
As the video of Subhan went viral, Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Hafeez expressed his sympathy towards the former, besides slamming PCB's new departmental policy. "New system will look after 200 players, but 1,000s of cricketers and management staff are unemployed because of this new model. I don't know who will take the responsibility of this unemployment of cricket fraternity, for all the victims," wrote Hafeez.
