South African star leg-spinner Imran Tahir was 'humiliated and expelled' by the Pakistan Consulate in Birmingham when he went to get his visa in order to play for the World XI side, which is scheduled to tour Pakistan later this month.
Tahir later took to Twitter to express his disappointment over the treatment he received.

Pakistan's Minister for Interior assures Tahir action will be taken
A World XI squad is scheduled to tour Pakistan in a bid to bring international cricket back to the country. Tahir was named in the squad, earlier.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's Minister for Interior, Ahsan Iqbal, replied to Tahir's tweet promising investigation and action.
Iqbal wrote, "Imran sorry to read your post. We will have this investigated and action will be taken against those responsible."
