The post WrestleMania excitement is yet to sink in as the Superstar Shakeup 2019 gets underway. While the stars get ready for a possible brand reshuffle, former superstar Paige raised a few eyebrows when she said that she would be bringing a new tag-team to the women's division. With fans wondering who could that tag-team possibly be, we analyze a few names.
The return of Absolution
The first team that comes to the mind is Paige's former tag-team Absolution, which consists of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. Being considered as one of the promising tag-teams, Absolution did have a good run initially. However, Paige's injury led to a setback for them and they went into the shadow of other promising women of the division. Thus, a return could be possible.
The return of the Divas
Fans were ecstatic following the return of Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix. She came out of retirement to team with her long-time partner Natalya, as they would wrestle as tag-team once again. While they did fail to win the championship at WrestleMania, Paige could align herself with them. It would give the team a much-needed boost to properly challenge the women's tag-team division.
The Boss n Hug Connection
As of now, Bayley and Banks are superstars of Raw. While The IIconics are set to appear in both shows as the champions, they are based in SmackDown. Therefore, Paige could very well bring the former champions to the blue brand to allow them to increase the level of competition on the show, besides shutting the mouth of The IIconics for good.
An unlikely pair
In what may seem to be an unlikely pair, Paige could help Alexa Bliss to align herself with Nikki Cross, as both could form a dominant pair in the women's tag-team division. While both are championship materials, this could also help them to set up a future feud between the two, as Nikki has been teasing one with Alexa.
A grand debut for the Japanese duo
In one of the most talked about teams, The Sky Pirates has the best chance of making its debut, with Paige by its corner. There have been rumors for weeks that Kairi Sane could be on her way to the main roster. It is likely that Paige could ask her partner Io Shirai to accompany her and make an impact in the tag-team division.
