What's the story

Rohit Sharma set Lucknow alive in the second T20I match against West Indies.

The stand-in skipper smashed a sublime ton as he sent the West Indies bowlers on a leather hunt.

This was Rohit's fourth career T20I ton. He is the first to achieve this landmark.

India were sent to bat in the second T20I and Rohit dashed WI hopes after a whirlwind innings.

Rohit smashes West Indies bowlers all over the park

The Mumbaikar smashed a whirlwind knock of 111 off 61 balls at a strike-rate of 181.97.

He smashed eight fours and seven sixes.

Rohit's blitz helped India get to 195/2.

His heroics helped him to notch the most sixes hit this year in international cricket (68).

The skipper led from the front once again and made sure he batted throughout.

Rohit goes past Virat in special record

Rohit became the highest scorer for India in T20Is. The opener overcame Virat Kohli in this process. Virat has 2,102 runs in 62 matches at an average of 48.88. Rohit, who needed 11 runs to get past Virat, now has 2,203 runs in 86 T20Is.
