New Zealand vs India: Preview, Dream XI of second T20I
India and New Zealand are gearing up for the second T20I to be played on Friday at the Eden Park in Auckland. After a rather one-sided show at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington, India are now in a must-win scenario to remain alive in the three-match series. India will need to put in a commendable shift to win tomorrow. Here's our detailed match preview.
India were beaten comprehensively in the first T20I
India were beaten comprehensively in Wellington by 80 runs. The Rohit Sharma-led side had a poor day at office both with bat and ball. India had selected a batting heavy XI, but that wasn't enough. Chasing a stiff target of 220, India were bowled out for 139. The visitors cannot afford a similar show and will need to be at their best.
India are expected to make some changes
India will look to make some changes and go all out against the Kiwis. One can expect Kuldeep Yadav to return to the starting XI. Siddarth Kaul might also replace Khaleel Ahmed. The visitors will hope that Rishabh Pant makes the most out of this chance. He has been dismal in the white-ball format. Rohit also needs to fire after some quiet performances.
New Zealand one match away from trophy
New Zealand will be fielding the same XI that enjoyed the mammoth victory in the first match. The Kiwis had ticked all the boxes and Kane Williamson has little to worry about. However, he knows that his side cannot get complacent as India are expected to bounce back. Kiwis go in as the favorites to win the trophy.
NZ vs IND: Here's our choice of the Dream XI
New Zealand's Kane Williamson is the skipper and will open the innings alongside Shikhar Dhawan. Ross Taylor and Dinesh Karthik provide company in the middle. Tim Seifert comes in as the wicket-keeper batsman. Three powerful all-rounders in the form of Mitchell Santner, Hardik Pandya (vice-captain) and Krunal Pandya get the nod. Bhuvneshwar Kumar leads the bowling attack. Tim Southee and Kuldeep Yadav support him.

The match will be telecast live on the Star Sports Network. One can stream the match live on Hotstar. It is scheduled for a 11:30 AM IST start. The two sides have not played here at Eden Park in T20Is before.
