Pakistan bowlers with most wickets in a T20 WC edition
The much-awaited ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be underway on June 1 in the Caribbean and USA. 2009 champions Pakistan have been two-time runners-up in addition to reaching the semi-finals on three occasions. Umar Gul - 13 wickets in 2007
The inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup was held in South Africa. Pakistan went on to reach the final before being defeated by India in a thrilling contest. Pacer Umar Gul was at his best. He picked up the most wickets in the tournament. Gul claimed 13 wickets from seven matches at just 11.92. His economy rate was 5.60. He claimed one four-fer.

The second edition of the ICC T20 World Cup was held in England. Pakistan reached their second successive final and won the tournament after defeating Sri Lanka. Once again, Gul was the standout performer. He finished the tournament as the highest wicket-taker. Gul picked 13 scalps from seven matches at 12.15. His economy rate was 6.44. He managed one five-wicket haul.
Saeed Ajmal - 12 wickets in 2009
Former spinner Saeed Ajmal stepped up to deliver the goods in 2009. The right-arm spinner took 12 wickets in Pakistan's title-winning campaign. Ajmal averaged 13.58 and his economy rate was 5.82. He managed a solitary four-wicket haul. Overall, Ajmal claimed 36 wickets for Pakistan in the global event (second-highest) at 16.86. In T20Is, he went on to claim a total of 85 wickets.
Shahid Afridi - 12 wickets in 2007
Shahid Afridi stood out for Pakistan in the 2007 edition of the T20 World Cup. He claimed 12 wickets for the finalists at 15.66 His economy rate was 6.71. He claimed one four-wicket haul. The star all-rounder was adjudged Player of the Series that year. Afridi finished with 39 T20 World Cup scalps for Pakistan (highest). In T20Is, he picked up 97 scalps.
