IPL 2018: Dhawan and Williamson prove too good for Daredevils
Sunrisers Hyderabad thrashed Delhi Daredevils by 9 wickets to claim their 9th win of their IPL campaign. Batting first, the Daredevils posted 187/5 courtesy a century by Rishabh Pant. However, Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson made light work of the target and chased it down with 7 balls to spare. Here are all the important stats of this high octane fixture.
Pant's heroics go in vain
Rishabh Pant was the star for Delhi Daredevils as he scored 128 out of 187 runs that Delhi managed to score. Pant's knock came off 63 balls which included 15 boundaries and 7 sixes. This knock is even more impressive considering it came against the best bowling attack in the Indian Premier League.
Pant scores highest individual score by Indian in T20s
Pant's 128* is the highest individual score by an Indian cricketer in Twenty20 format. Pant broke Murali Vijay's record, who had scored 127 against Rajasthan Royals in 2010. Rishabh Pant is the youngest to complete 1,000 IPL runs and second youngest to score an IPL hundred. Pant's hundred was 50th ton in the history of IPL.
Bad day at the office for Bhuvi
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is one of the finest bowlers in T20 cricket. However, today he had a bad day at work. He conceded 51 runs in his 4 over-spell. This is only the second time Bhuvneshwar Kumar has conceded 50+ runs in a T20 match.
