Football: PSG win first trophy, Tottenham stun Chelsea
Paris Saint Germain are on course to lift the treble this season after securing their first piece of silverware on Sunday. Elsewhere in La Liga, Lionel Messi had to come off the bench to save Barcelona and the Premier League saw Tottenham beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for the first time in 28 years. Here is a round-up of all the action.
PSG lift French League cup with 3-0 Monaco thumping
Paris Saint Germain continued their dominance in France by beating AS Monaco 3-0 to win the French League Cup for the 5th successive year. Edinson Cavani struck a brace and Angel Di Maria scored a goal to ensure PSG remain on course to win their third treble in four seasons. PSG have won 11 of the 13 trophies in the past 5 seasons.
Suarez and Messi secure late draw for Barcelona
Late goals from Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi ensured that La Liga leaders Barcelona preserved their unbeaten run as they held Sevilla to a 2-2 draw. Goals from Franco Vazquez and Luis Muriel looked like they were enough to inflict Barcelona's first defeat in 11 months, but Suarez pulled one back in the 88th minute before Messi restored parity minutes later.
Dele Alli's brace sinks Chelsea
Spurs secured their first victory at Stamford Bridge in 28 years as Mauricio Pochettino's men beat Antonio Conte's Chelsea 3-1 in the Premier League. Alvaro Morata opened the scoring with well-placed header before Christian Eriksen drew things level at the stroke of halftime. Dele Alli's 2 second-half clinical goals sealed the victory for Spurs.
Penalties save Arsenal's blushes
Arsenal defeated relegation-threatened Stoke City 3-0. The Gunners were so dreadful in the first half that even the crowd booed them. But Aubameyang's 75th-minute penalty broke the deadlock before a neat finish from him and a penalty from Lacazette sealed the victory for Arsenal.
