"If people fund athletes, it will only help the sport flourish in the country. I am fortunate to get that support from Virat," he further quoted to Bombay Times.
Federer backs Nagal to have a solid career ahead
After the match, Federer praised Nagal's performance considerably. He said that while it wasn't at all easy to deliver the best on the big stage right away, Nagal did well. "I think he did that very well. I think he knows what he can bring. That's why, I think he's going to have a very solid career," Federer opined.
