Sultan Azlan Shah Cup: India lose 2-3 to Argentina
Indian hockey team were defeated 2-3 by the world number 2 side Argentina, in the opening fixture of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia. At one stage Argentina were up 2-0, but India fought back to recover and equalized. The parity, however, didn't last long as the star drag-flicker Gonzalo Peillat scored his hat-trick to give Argentina the lead. Here are the tournament details.

The Sultan Azlan Shah Cup is an annual men's hockey tournament which takes place in Malaysia. 26 editions of the Cup have been held so far with Great Britain winning it last in 2017. Australia have won it the most times, 9, followed by India, 5. India last won the cup in 2010 where they shared the trophy with South Korea.
2018 edition of the Cup
The 2018 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup is set to take place from 3rd to 10th March, in Ipoh, Malaysia. The 6-team tournament features the hosts Malaysia, Australia, Argentina, England, Ireland, and India. The teams compete in a round robin format where each team play every other team once, and the top two teams qualify for the final.
