England drop Ben Stokes for Australia and India T20Is
England will be without the services of all-rounder Ben Stokes for the upcoming T20s against Australia and India. The ECB dropped the 26-year-old Ben from the squad due to his injury. Stokes suffered a left-hamstring injury ahead of the second Test against Pakistan and is yet to fully recover from it. He will be hoping to get fit in time for ODIs against India.
Curran brothers in for Australia and India series
All-rounders Sam and Tom Curran have been included in the squad. They could become the first brothers to represent the Three Lions together since Ben and Adam Hollioake in 1999. The England Cricket Board has opted to rest pacer Mark Wood while speedster Jake Ball has been recalled into the squad. Jonny Bairstow and all-rounder Moeen Ali have also been recalled.
Jake Ball and Sam Curran set for England T20 debut?
All-rounder Chris Woakes also misses out on the series with a knee injury. Jake Ball and Sam Curran could be in line to make their T20I debut either against Australia or India. England are scheduled to play Australia in a one-off T20 match on June 27, post which they will welcome Virat Kohli led India for 3 T20s starting on July 3.
