Mahela Jayawardene slams Lankan board, turns down consultant's role
What's the story
Mahela Jayawardene slammed the Sri Lankan cricket board and turned down the role of a consultant which was offered to him.
He declined it citing the board's ineffectiveness to implement reforms.
Earlier this week, the selectors had asked the Government to onboard Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Aravinda de Silva and Roshan Mahanama as consultants.
The other players are yet to respond to this request.

Jayawardene has had negative experiences with SLC
Jayawardene has had several negative experiences with the board in the recent past.
The legendary Sri Lankan cricketer had earlier devised a structure for the long-term growth of domestic cricket.
However, it was scrapped when Thilanga Sumathipala took over as Sri Lanka cricket's president.
The board elections are expected to take place in the next few months.
