SRH vs RCB: Match preview, TV listing and pitch report
Sunrisers Hyderabad will be looking to pile on the misery for Royal Challengers Bangalore, when the two sides meet each other in match number 11 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019. SRH capped off a sensational victory against Rajasthan Royals on Friday to get off the mark. RCB have lost both their encounters till now. Here is the detailed match preview.
SRH vs RCB: Head-to-head record
SRH have faced RCB on 12 occasions in the IPL. They have a slender 7-5 advantage over Virat Kohli's men. Last season, both the teams shared the spoils after winning their respective matches at home.
SRH look up to Warner for inspiration
SRH will be looking up to the sensational David Warner, who is enjoying prime form with the bat. Warner's heroics helped SRH win the encounter against RR. He has already smashed two fifties with a best of 85. Jonny Bairstow has supported him well. Kane Williamson has returned and can be trusted to give a strong start. Vijay Shankar promises aplenty with his cameos.
SRH need to bowl well after conceding aplenty
SRH will need to work on their bowling. For two matches in a row, they have given away plenty of runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, in particular, has been ineffective at the death. Someone like Khaleel Ahmed can bring variety. Only Rashid Khan has been top notch.
RCB need the middle order to fire
RCB almost sealed the last encounter against Mumbai, but they fell short in the end. In both the matches, RCB's middle order hasn't been up to the mark, as the batsmen have failed to apply themselves. Kohli needs players like Shimron Hetmyer to be patient and play as per the match situation. Once again the focus will be on AB de Villiers and Kohli.
RCB need bowlers to rally around Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal has been on top gear with the ball and he needs other RCB bowlers to support him well. Tim Southee hasn't been tried yet and he could bring in added experience. The pace attack needs to deliver a good performance.
