#GamingBytes: Insomniac rolls out a fun update of Spider-Man PS4
What's the story
Marvel's Spider-Man for PS4 has garnered large-scale critical and commercial success. However, before the game had launched there was some controversy regarding the adjustment of a puddle on-screen.
However, the success of the game eclipsed this tiny detail.
While such a detail is usually overlooked, Insomniac decided to have some fun with the fans in its new update.
Read all about it here.
Problem details
All about the puddle scandal
Before Spider-Man PS4 released, there was a controversy where gamers complained about the placement of a puddle in-game, in a scene where the water coverage was less.
The difference between the water coverage in the actual game, when compared to the E3 2017 demo caused the problem.
Dubbed the 'Puddlegate' controversy, it was soon forgotten due to the excitement surrounding the game's release.
The fix
The funny fix by Insomniac
Riding high on Spider-Man's success, Insomniac playfully referred to the 'Puddlegate' controversy in its latest update.
The update added new items in photo mode including stickers, frames and a shortcut to the mode.
One of the stickers is a cartoon puddle allowing gamers to fix the placement of puddle.
Notably, user interface and experience head of Insomniac, Gil Doron, confirmed this over Twitter.
