#GamingBytes: Pokemon Go reveals mythical Pokemon Meltan's evolution, Melmetal
Sometime back, Pokemon Go players were thrown in a state of frenzy, when a mysterious, never before seen Pokemon appeared and could not be captured. It was later revealed to be Meltan, a Mythical Pokemon. Now the evolution of Meltan, called Melmetal, has been revealed through a trailer where Professors Oak and Willow discuss their observations of Meltan. Read all about Melmetal here.
Introducing the new Mythical Pokemon, Melmetal
According to the official Pokemon website, Melmetal has been described as Steel Hex Nut type Pokemon. It is bigger than the original form, Meltan and weighs 1,763.7 lbs with a height of 8'02". Notably, it evolves when several Meltan merge with each other.
The powers of the mythical Pokemon, Melmetal
Presumably Meltan's natural absorption of metals and merging with other Meltan culminates in the massive evolved Melmetal. Melmetal, unsighted for 3000 years, was worshipped for its ability to create metal. One of its Steel-type powers includes dealing double strikes to opponents using the 'Double Iron Bash'. Melmetal uses its chest's hex-nut like an axle and spins its arms around, causing opponent Pokemon to flinch.
How soon will Meltan and Melmetal come to Pokemon Go?
Meltan and Melmetal are expected to come by November 16, 2018, coinciding with the release of Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Eevee. Other trainers will be allowed to send these two Pokemon to the players of the newly released titles if they are unable to capture it. Evolving Meltan to Melmetal in Pokemon Go will require players to collect and use 400 Meltan Candies.
