WWE: Which SmackDown tag-teams could be crowned new champions?
The WWE Universe was in shock when they learned that one-half of the SmackDown tag-team champions, Jeff Hardy has got injured. This resulted in The Hardyz relinquishing their tag-team titles. While the Hardyz are expected to be out of action for some time, this has got people wondering as to who could be crowned the next champions. We list five such tag-teams.
Time for the Vikings to shine
The Vikings Raiders have made an impact ever since their arrival from NXT. While it was being believed that they would soon be receiving a title shot, the injury to the Hardyz might have brought their time further ahead. Moreover, having relinquished the NXT tag-team championships, they could be moved from Raw to SmackDown for a bigger push.
A Heavy task made easy for the Machinery
Heavy Machinery too is one of the most promising aspects of the tag-team division. However, they have been underutilized ever since their arrival to the main roster this year. Having made their move to SmackDown in the recent Superstar Shakeup, this could well be their first and most important chance to shine. Moreover, making them the champions would give them the much-needed career boost.
May the Best team win
It has been almost a year since we saw The B-Team as the tag-team champions, while they have been irregular of late. However, they made their return to SmackDown last week and it seems like the perfect opportunity to rise to the occasion once again. Being one of the crowd favorites for their funny persona, B-Team needs another big push as champions.
It's Rusev-Nakamura Day, everyday
Prior to being a tag-team, both Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura were interesting prospects for the singles competition. However, WWE did screw them up and is still keeping them underutilized as tag-team. Now that the Hardyz are on break, it is time that this duo gets a deserving push in the tag-team division, and the title win would add to their credibility.
About time the tag-team division is cleaned up
Sanity was originally a three-member team, but their one-half Eric Young was drafted to Raw during this Superstar Shakeup. This still makes Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain a tag-team on SmackDown. While Wolfe has been tipped to join NXT UK, WWE could still consider re-uniting Young with Dain and clean up the tag-team mess on SmackDown. They could be crowned champions in the future.
