Sir Richard Hadlee diagnosed with bowel cancer
Former New Zealand cricketer Sir Richard Hadlee has been diagnosed with bowel cancer. As per the statement by New Zealand Cricket, the 66-year-old legend has undergone a surgery to get his tumour removed. The statement was issued on behalf of Hadlee's wife Lady Dianne. Sir Richard Hadlee is regarded as New Zealand's greatest ever cricketer. Alongside Imran Khan, Ian Botham and Kapil Dev, the former Kiwi man was considered as the world's top four bowling all-rounders during 1980s. His performances helped New Zealand become a serious cricketing nation. In 1990, during the tour of England, he was knighted for his services.
