Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer has completed 6,000 runs in men's T20 cricket.
Iyer reached the landmark in Match 5 of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Iyer, who helped KKR win IPL 2024, attained the feat with his 26th run in the match against GT.

Iyer was named the PBKS skipper in January this year. He was picked up by the Kings for a record ₹26.75 crore.
Iyer is one of only eight captains to have won the IPL, having led KKR to victory in 2024.
He became the first player to lead two different franchises to IPL finals. Under him, Delhi Capitals finished as the runners-up in 2020.

Iyer started his IPL journey with DC in 2015. To date, he remains one of only five batters with 2,000-plus runs for DC in the IPL.
He scored 2,375 runs from 87 games for the Capitals before moving to KKR in 2022. Notably, 16 of his 21 IPL fifties have come for DC.
Iyer struck at 146.86 in KKR's title-winning 2024 campaign.
