#AsiaCup2018: Pakistani cricketer shows respect to MS Dhoni during training
Pakistan's Shoaib Malik showed he is a true gentleman with this heart-warming gesture towards Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni. India and Pakistan are set to clash against each other on September 19 in the Asia Cup 2018. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong are the other four teams taking part in the continental tournament. Here's what Malik did.
Malik shows the way!
Dhoni is a respected figure all around the world
Malik entered the zone where Team India held its training session and was seen shaking Dhoni's hand. In between his left hand was on his head holding the cap to show respect for the Indian cricketer. Dhoni is widely respected by one and all, around the world and Malik showed his class by going to the veteran wicket-keeper batsman.
Malik shows his admiration
Political tensions between India and Pakistan have seen bilateral series, between the two nations, getting called off since quite some time. The arch-rivals get to meet each other in global ICC tournaments and the Asia Cup. What Shoaib Malik has shown here is that there is admiration between the cricketers. And this is what we, as cricket fans, want to see.
In 2016, Virat had presented Amir with a cricket bat
This isn't the first time Pakistan cricketers have been in awe of their Indian counterparts. In 2016 during the ICC World Twenty20, Mohammad Amir praised Virat Kohli and stated that he regards him as the best. Virat had presented the left-arm bowler with his cricket bat post India's victory at the Eden Gardens and showered the bowler with praise. These moments conquer everything.
India and Pakistan to clash on September 19
Pakistan open their campaign against Hong Kong on September 16. India play against the minnows on September 18 and then face Pakistan the next day. The whole world will be watching another promising battle between the two sides as they look to outwit each other. Rohit Sharma is leading the Indian side in absence of Kohli. For Pakistan, Sarfaraz Ahmed will captain them.
