Shoaib Akhtar scolds a journalist for her 'unprofessional' question
You can't toss out emotions when it comes to India v/s Pakistan cricket matches. Be it fans, cricketers, or news anchors, everyone runs high on emotions, courtesy the history and political relationship between the two nations. And, nobody on either side hides their excitement of winning. One such over-enthusiastic Indian journalist managed to miff former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar after India won against Pakistan. Here's what happened.
The 'controversial' remark
Akhtar was part of a talk show on a Hindi news channel when he was asked by the anchor whether Pakistan was ready to face India again. Now, if only the question was asked so decently. But nope. The anchor compared India's victory with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, adding how Team India has taken the mission pretty seriously, "cleaning up" Pakistan in the ongoing series.
But, Akhtar wasn't in a mood for all that 'sass'
But it seemed like the Rawalpindi Express wasn't in the mood to take all that sass and requested the anchor to ask cricket-related questions only. He asked her to maintain a decorum, adding that he isn't a state level cricketer. However, when asked about Pakistan's strategy, he started talking about who as per him should be playing in the next match.
The 'angry' Rawalpindi Express
Gautam Gambhir faced 'unprofessional' questions too
Shortly after the incident, even Gautam Gambhir was asked a bunch of unprofessional questions by a few Pakistani journalists whom he shut down. If only, these "journalists" would stick to cricket, we'll have lesser angry cricketers on TV!
