Shane Warne bid adieu to the IPL in 2011 after featuring for the Rajasthan Royals ever since IPL's inception. Ever since the tweet, speculations are rife that he might return to the franchise as a coach or mentor for the 11th edition. Rajasthan Royals, who have appointed Australian Steve Smith as captain, are yet to appoint a coach or mentor.
Returning Royals want to make their mark
The Rajasthan Royals are returning back to the IPL after serving a 2-year ban for their alleged involvement in match-fixing in 2013. The franchise has aggressively bid for quality talent with the likes of Ben Stokes and Ajinkya Rahane in their arsenal. All that is missing is a good coach or mentor and Warne is a perfect fit for that bill.
