Maurizio Sarri is positive about Morata's growth at Chelsea
Alvaro Morata had a dismal start to his 2018-19 season as he remained goalless for a considerable time. He had earlier managed only two goals in 20 EPL appearances but now has scored four goals in as many matches for Chelsea. Manager Maurizio Sarri is confident that Alvaro can become a huge success at Chelsea if he develops certain aspects of his game.
Sarri believes Morata can mature
Sarri, who has taken the Blues to a whole new level with his beautiful attacking football, has shown confidence in the Spanish forward. Sarri believes Alvaro can mature into a fine performer if he develops his technique, confidence and physicality. Morata's performance covered for the lack of Hazard, as the Belgian international made an appearance only after an hour in their match against Palace.
Earlier, Sarri had talked about his inability to help Morata
During their first Europa League match against PAOK, Alvaro had wasted three to four opportunities. Sarri was visibly upset with his performance and had commented that he was not being able to help the Spanish striker. Sarri believed that he had to slowly gain his confidence by scoring goals. Now, it seems the Spanish forward has been able to find his true potential.
Lukaku has replaced Morata as EPL's laughing stock
When Alvaro was going through a goal-drought, he was subject to a lot of ridicule on social media. However, now that he is finding the back of the net regularly while Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku continues his goalless run, the Belgian striker has become the new target for trolls. Lukaku has remained without a goal in his last nine matches.
