Samuel Badree is a Trinidadian cricket player and cricket coach who was born on March 8, 1981, in Trinidad and Tobago. The right-arm leg-spin bowler plays international cricket for the West Indies. Badree is regarded as one of the most effective bowlers in shorter formats of the game. In 2002, he made his debut in domestic cricket for Trinidad and Tobago. In June 2012, Badree made his T20 international debut against New Zealand for West Indies. He produced his career-best figures of 4/15 against Bangladesh in the 2014 edition of World T20. Badree has also played in various domestic T20 competitions like Australia’s Big Bash League, Caribbean Premier League, the IPL, Pakistan Super League, and Bangladesh Premier League. In the IPL, he has played for Rajasthan Royals (2013), Chennai Super Kings (2014), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (2017). Badree's best bowling figures of 5/22 came in 2016 for Brisbane Heat against Melbourne Stars. He was also appointed as the spin bowling coach for Delhi Capitals for IPL 2020.
