IPL 2024, Sai Sudharsan shines with 84* against RCB: Stats
Gujarat Titans star Sai Sudharsan has continued his golden run in the ongoing 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). The southpaw dismantled the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowlers with an unbeaten 84 off 49 balls in Match 45 in Ahmedabad. His knock was laced with eight boundaries and four sixes. En route, he became the second batter to complete 400 runs in the ongoing season.
Another fine hand from Sudharsan
Sudharsan arrived following Wriddhiman Saha's (5) early departure. Shubman Gill (16) couldn't do much either as GT were reduced to 45/2. Sudharsan then joined forces with Shahrukh Khan (58) as the duo added 86 runs before the latter departed. Sudharsan, who completed his fifty off 34 balls, went berserk in the end overs. He added 69 runs with David Miller (26*).
400 runs in the season for Sudharsan
In 10 matches in IPL 2024, Sudharsan now owns 418 runs at 46.44 (50s: 2). He is only behind RCB's Virat Kohli (430) in terms of runs this season. Overall in the IPL, Sudharsan raced to 925 runs at an average of 46.25 (SR: 136.43). He struck his sixth IPL fifty. The southpaw has raced to 1,394 T20 runs at 39.82 (50s: 8).
GT post a strong total
Besides Sudarshan, Shahrukh scored a fiery 58. Miller contributed with an unbeaten 26 toward the end as GT posted 200/3 while batting first at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This is now their highest IPL total in the first innings. Mohammed Siraj (1/34 in 4 overs), Swapnil Singh (1/23 in 3 overs), and Glenn Maxwell (1/28) were exceptional with the ball for RCB.
