15 years have flown by since the legendary Sachin Tendulkar scored one of the best ever innings in ODI cricket. On this day in 2003, the former Indian batsman wrecked havoc against arch-rivals Pakistan. Sachin's 98 runs in ICC 2003 World Cup blockbuster against Pakistan will be forever remembered and cherished. With the courtesy of his innings, India went on to win the match.

Sachin's 98 runs off 75 deliveries blended with 12 fours and a six, helped India chase down a target of 274 runs in Centurion. Pakistan possessed the best pace bowling trio of Waqar Younis , Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram. But they were left hapless with Sachin in command. The trademark of his innings was the upper-cut off Akhtar that went for a six.
Sachin ruled the 2003 World Cup
The Indian legendary opener smashed 673 runs in 11 matches in 2003 World Cup. He averaged 61.18 in the tourney with a top score of 152. He smashed one century and six fifties as India reached the final, which they eventually lost out to Australia.
