Alexis Sanchez misses training amid speculations of Manchester United exit
Alexis Sanchez is, reportedly, not happy to be working under Jose Mourinho and speculations regarding him calling it quits, to his Manchester United stint, are doing the rounds. The rumors strengthened when he did not show up for United's training ahead of their Champions League clash against Juventus. The Chilean has been sparingly used by Mourinho since his appointment. Details follow.
Sanchez is not happy with tactics and playing time
Sanchez is unhappy with Jose Mourinho's tactics, which he uses at Manchester United. He had also claimed that Mourinho praised him for tracking back rather than being creative in attack. He has started only four Premier League matches this season, out of which, he was substituted on three occasions. Since being bought in 2016 from Arsenal, the Chilean has made 26 appearances for United.
Scholes does not think Sanchez can be of much use
Alexis Sanchez earns £505,000 a week from Manchester United and has scored four goals in his 26 appearances. Scholes thinks Sanchez was only signed in order to prevent Manchester City from getting their hands on him. The legend also believes Sanchez is not worth that much money, and that he is not fit to be a United player, and is somewhat selfish.
United need a win against Juventus
Jesse Lingard, Diogo Dalot and Marouane Fellaini were also absent from the training ahead of the clash against Juventus. United desperately need to win this encounter. They drew their match against Valencia and narrowly missed the win against Chelsea, last weekend.
