Barcelona kept their unbeaten run at La Liga intact, as they beat Athletic Bilbao 2-0 on Sunday. Paco Alcacer, who replaced the suspended Luis Suarez, opened the scoring in the 8th minute. Lionel Messi then wrapped things up with a low 20-yard strike to take Barcelona 11 points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid.
Ronaldo scores 4 against Girona
Cristiano Ronaldo netted the 50th hat-trick of his illustrious career, as Real Madrid thumped Girona 6-3 to move on to third place in La Liga. Lucas Vazquez and Gareth Bale were also on the score sheet for Madrid. The Los Blancos are now 4 points behind second-placed Atletico Madrid and 15 points behind league leaders Barcelona.
Pedro's strike keeps Chelsea in the FA cup
Pedro's extra-time winner against Leicester City took Chelsea to the semi-final of the FA Cup. Alvaro Morata opened the scoring for Chelsea before Jamie Vardy levelled things in the second half to force the game into extra time. Chelsea will now face Southampton on April 21 in the semi-final at Wembley.
