Juventus kicked me out, says Milan forward Gonzalo Higuain

    What's the story

Things were rosy for Gonzalo Higuain when he joined Juventus for a then club-record fee from fellow Italian club Napoli.

Higuain gave his all in two seasons for the Serie A champions.

He ended up scoring a plethora of goals besides helping his side to four trophies.

But things took a turn when Juventus signed Cristiano Ronaldo.

Here's what Gonzalo said about CR7 deal.

    Comments

Higuain clears the air on Milan move

Higuain scored 55 times for Juventus in 105 matches before joining Milan.

Higuain was rumored to have asked Juventus to let him go post the arrival of Ronaldo, but he has cleared the air.

"I did not ask to leave. Effectively, everyone says it: they kicked me out. At Milan, I immediately received a lot of love and that is how they convinced me."

    Feeling

Higuain felt something was wrong in May 2018

Higuain told La Gazzetta dello Sport, "Inside me, I had the feeling something was broken that day."

The incident occurred when the forward was left out of the starting XI in the Coppa Italia finale.

Higuain, who has been a prolific scorer all his life, stayed in Real Madrid for 7 years, before joining Napoli in 2013, where he amassed 91 goals.

    Decision

It wasn't my decision to leave Juve, says Higuain

The Argentine revealed that the arrival of CR7 was the final nail in the coffin.

"Then they signed Ronaldo. It wasn't my decision to leave. I gave everything for Juventus. I won many trophies then, after Cristiano arrived, the club wanted to make a jump in quality and they told me that I couldn't stay and they were trying to find a solution."

    Duo

Both Higuain and Ronaldo have started season well

Higuain has got off to a strong start at Milan and has already scored 6 times in 7 appearances.

The striker has found a lot of love in the heart of the 7-time European champions.

Meanwhile, the person who replaced him at Juventus too has been fantastic.

Ronaldo has scored 4 times in 9 matches and has created many goals as well.
