Rohit Sharma smashes fifty in successive ODIs, attains these feats
Indian captain Rohit Sharma played another resounding knock, this time in the 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Rohit got India off to a flier as they attempted to chase 241. He shared a 97-run opening stand with his opening partner Shubman Gill. During the match, Rohit also became India's fourth-highest run-getter in the 50-over format.
A 29-ball fifty from Rohit
As was the case in the series opener, Rohit came out all guns blazing. He attacked the Lankan bowlers from the outset. While Gill took time to settle, Rohit added a flurry of fours and sixes in the first powerplay. He raced to a 29-ball half-century in the 10th over. Rohit brought up his half-century with a maximum off Kamindu Mendis.

Rohit went past Dravid with his second run in the match. The latter is only behind Tendulkar (18,426), Virat Kohli (13,872), and Sourav Ganguly (11,221) in terms of ODI runs among Indians.
