Rohit Sharma becomes highest run-scorer in MI-CSK IPL matches: Stats
Rohit Sharma has become the highest run-scorer in the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches between arch-rivals Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. The dasher reached this landmark in Match 29 against CSK of IPL 2024 at the Wankhede Stadium. Rohit surpassed Suresh Raina with his 11th run. Notably, Rohit scored an unbeaten century (105* off 63 balls). He smoked 11 fours and five sixes.
Rohit overtakes Raina
As mentioned, Rohit overtook veteran batter Raina to become the leading run-scorer in MI-CSK matches. Raina, also known as Mr. IPL, scored 710 runs for CSK against MI at a strike rate of 141.71 in his illustrious career. In MI colors, Rohit has now raced to 805 runs in 28 games against CSK at 32.20. The tally includes seven fifties besides a solitary ton.

It is worth noting that Shikhar Dhawan, who has played for a host of franchises, owns the most runs against both CSK and MI in the IPL. Notably, Rohit has the third-most IPL runs against CSK.

Rohit, who surpassed Raina in terms of IPL runs in MI-CSK games, overall has 896 runs against the Yellow Army. The former MI skipper played for the now-defunct Deccan Chargers in his first few years.
