    What's the story

India's stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma has been enjoying the form of his life.

Like Virat Kohli, Rohit has been scripting records in almost every match.

The senior cricketer slammed fourth career T20I ton, a few days back, against West Indies. He broke several records en route to his century.

And now in the third and final T20I, he could achieve another special feat.

    Record

Rohit needs 69-runs to become the highest run-scorer in T20Is

Rohit started the series as the fifth highest run scorer in T20Is.

And the 111* knock in the second match saw him surpass Kohli (2,102), Baz (2,140) and Shoaib Malik (2,190).

Now he has his sights on the number one position held by Martin Guptill (2,271).

Rohit (2,203) needs just 69 to go past Guptill and become the top run scorer in the world.

    Data

Rohit one of the best T20I players

Rohit has been an excellent T20I player and is regarded as one of the best ever. In 79 matches, the Mumbaikar has 4 hundreds under his name besides 15 fifties. He has a sound average of 33.89 at a strike rate of 138.64.

    Stats

Sixes and fours: Rohit eyes new feat in both

Rohit can also get to another special record and go past Guptill and Chris Gayle.

He has 96 sixes to his name in T20Is and needs 8 more to surpass the duo, who lead the charts as the highest six hitters (103).

Rohit is second, behind Kohli, in terms of fours hit in the format for India (199).

He could go past 200 fours.
