James Rodriguez facing miserable season, chance of re-shifting to Madrid?
James Rodriguez is one of the most talented and under-utilized players of his generation. He is enduring a miserable season at Bayern Munich. Rodriguez switched from Real to Bayern after not getting enough game time under Zidane. However, even under Kovač, he is warming the bench. Further, Rodriguez suffered an injury and will be out for three weeks. Will he return to Real now?
Details of Rodriguez's injury
Rodriguez suffered a knee injury during training and it is believed that he will not take to the field for the remainder of 2018. He is the fifth Bayern mid-fielder after Thiago Alcantara, Corentin Tolisso, Kingsley Coman and Robben to be out due to injuries. On Wednesday, the club officially confirmed that James will have to undergo physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Real had plans to bring him back?
It is believed that Real Madrid had plans to bring him back after Ronaldo announced that he would be leaving the Spanish capital. However, Bayern were not ready to let go Rodriguez after he proved his merit under Jupp Heynckes. Kovač, however, does not feel the same way about the Colombian and did not use him even in their match against Dortmund.
Rodriguez clashing with Kovač in Bayern dressing room?
Reports had surfaced that all is not going well between Rodriguez and Kovač inside the dressing room. The playmaker reportedly was vocal in his criticism about the manager. He also did not pay heed to the coach's suggestion that players should warm up together before a match. James also refused to shake hands with Bayern's sporting director when he was benched against Mainz.
Will James add something special to Real Madrid?
His loan with Bayern ends after the ongoing season, and he might be called upon by Real Madrid considering they need a utility player like him. James, adept at playing in the mid-field and as a forward, has always managed to find the net when required. His addition might be sought after by Real as they do need a goal-scorer in their ranks.
