PV Sindhu shocks World's No 2, enters semi-finals!
What's the story
Indian shuttler PV Sindhu has kept India's hopes of winning a medal alive at the Rio Olympics by storming into the semi-finals of women's singles event.
She stunned world number 2 and 2012 London Olympics silver medallist, Wang Yihan of China 22-20, 21-19 in a battle lasting 54 minutes.
Sindhu is just a win away from bagging a medal for India.

Another wrestler bows out
Indian wrestler Hardeep Singh lost to Turkey's Cenk Ildem in the first round of Greco-Roman wrestling. Hardeep lost 1-2, crashing out of the tournament. Now, India's hopes are on freestyle wrestlers.
Narsingh left hanging
WADA appeals against Narsingh's clearance
World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has appealed against the clearance given to Narsingh Yadav by National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA).
WADA exercised its right to appeal in the Court of Arbitration (CAS). The court will decide the fate of Indian wrestler on 18th August, just a day before the wrestler's bout at the Rio Olympics.
Narsingh is in Rio after he got the clearance from NADA.

Four year ban for Narsingh?
If found guilty by the CAS, Narsingh will not be able to represent India at the Olympics and may face a four-year ban being a first time offender. If handed a ban, India will not see any representation in men's 74 kg wrestling event.

United States way ahead in medals tally
With 28 gold, silver and bronze each, United States is on the top of medals tally at the Rio Olympics.
Great Britain is next on the table with 50 medals which include 19 gold and silver each and 12 bronze medals.
China has won 17 gold, 15 silver and 19 bronze medals and is at the third position.
