What's the story

India D batter Ricky Bhui has slammed his 19th century in First-Class cricket. The right-handed batter reached the three-figure mark on Day 4 of the Duleep Trophy match against India A. A magnificent ton by Bhui kept India D alive in their run-chase of 488. The top-order batter came to the rescue after Atharva Taide departed in the third over.

Knock

Bhui plays a rescuing knock

Bhui came to the middle after India D lost Atharva Taide early on. The former then added 100 runs with Yash Dubey, who was later dismissed run-out. Devdutt Padikkal soon followed Dube, while Shreyas Iyer added a quickfire 55-ball 41. Sanju Samson then acommpanied Bhui, who completed his century shortly after lunch. It took him 170 balls for the same.

Bhui was eventually dismissed by Tanush Kotian, who took four wickets. The former slammed a 195-ball 113 (14 fours and 3 sixes). However, he couldn't guide India D to victory as they perished for 301.
