Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has revealed that he received death threats after manager Claudio Ranieri was sacked last month. Vardy was reportedly one of the players involved with the removal of Ranieri following Leicester's loss against Sevilla. He also said that he faced a lot of anger from the fans in the aftermath of Ranieri's departure.

Premier League winning manager Claudio Ranieri was sacked by Leicester City just nine months after their title victory. Ranieri had guided Leicester to their first title victory after a 5000-1 odds before the start of the tournament. He was sacked soon after the Foxes lost to Sevilla in the first leg of the the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Got verbally abused while walking on streets: Vardy
Jamie Vardy added that he was verbally abused while he walked down the street. He also said that his wife and kids were victims of a road-rage incident. He received death treats over social media, but is not willing to report against the fans.

Denying the allegations about his connection in Claudio Ranieri's sacking, Jamie Vardy said that he was thankful to the manager for guiding them to Premier League victory. He said, "Don't get me wrong, what he did for Leicester was unbelievable and nobody would have expected that in a million years. We can only thank him for that."
