Sehwag and Ganguly's record-breaking partnership
Virender Sehwag and Sourav Ganguly share the record for the highest opening partnership in the history of Champions Trophy.
In the 2000 match against England in Colombo, the duo added a mammoth 192 runs for the opening wicket in just 28.4 overs.
Sehwag scored a quickfire 126, while Ganguly remained unbeaten on 117, as India cruised to an eight-wicket victory.
Overall, this is the joint-third-highest stand in the tourney, as per ESPNcricinfo.

Dhawan and Ganguly belong to this elite list
Shikhar Dhawan and Ganguly are among the five batters with successive hundreds in Champions Trophy history.
The elite list also includes prolific batsmen like Saeed Anwar, Upul Tharanga, and Chris Gayle.
Ganguly made 141* against South Africa and 117 against New Zealand in the 2000 edition.
Dhawan scored centuries against South Africa (114) and West Indies (102*) in 2013.

Dhawan tops the list of top run-scorers for India in the Champions Trophy. He is the third-highest run-getter overall.
The southpaw has scored a whopping 701 runs from just 10 matches at an average of 77.88 and strike rate of 101.59. .
Dhawan owns the second-best average and best strike rate among batters with at least 400 runs in the tourney.
He also owns the joint-most centurries (3) and joint-most 50-plus scores (6).

Dhawan smashed 363 runs in the 2013 Champions Trophy campaign. Only Gayle (474 in 2006) has scored more runs in a CT edition.
The swashbuckler was once again on song in the 2017 edition, bagging 338 runs that season.

No other batter has breached the 300-run mark in more than one edition.

Ganguly also holds the record for hitting the most number of sixes in Champions Trophy history.
In his 13-match stint in the tournament, Ganguly smashed a total of 17 sixes.
