Dhawan eyes 6,000-run mark
Dhawan (5,784) is second only to Virat Kohli (6,283) in terms of most runs scored in the history of IPL. He needs 216 runs to breach the 6,000-run mark in the tournament. He could be the second Indian player and overall to achieve the landmark. Notably, Dhawan tops the batting chart with the most runs as an opener in IPL.
Dhawan on the verge of attaining two noteworthy feats
Dhawan is second only to David Warner (50) in terms of the fifties struck in the Indian Premier League. To date, he has racked up 44 half-centuries. He could get past 50 fifties in the forthcoming edition of the tournament. Dhawan, who's currently with two hundreds to his name, also could equal Sanju Samson (3) in the century tally.
Tally of fours and sixes
Notably, Dhawan (654) has smashed the most number of fours in the cash-rich tournament. He stands heads and shoulders above Virat Kohli (546) and David Warner (525) who occupy the second and third spots respectively. PBKS vs RCB on March 27
PBKS would be involved in a juicy affair in their maiden game of the season against RCB. The match is scheduled to take place on March 27 (Sunday) at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. It will be the first double-header of IPL 2022 and will commence at 7:30 PM IST. Dhawan's experience with the willow would of great significance to PBKS.
