Pace spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar helped India win the T20I series finale against England. The right-arm fast bowler recorded figures of 2/15 in a match where over 400 runs were scored overall. He was named the Player of the Match for his stunning effort. Now, Bhuvneshwar would want to replicate his performance in the IPL 2021. Here are the records he can break this season.
A look at his IPL career
Bhuvneshwar, who represents the Sunrisers Hyderabad, has been one of the most skilful bowlers in the IPL. His propensity to deliver economical spells is hailed by many. He is the seventh-highest IPL wicket-taker, and third-highest among fast bowlers, presently. In 121 matches, he has snapped up 136 wickets, including a best match haul of 5/19. He also owns 2 four-fors and 1 five-wicket haul.
Bhuvi set to complete 150 IPL wickets
In the upcoming season, Bhuvneshwar will likely become the sixth player to take 150 wickets in the IPL. He will be the first Indian pacer and third overall to do so. At present, the SRH pacer (136) is behind Lasith Malinga (170), Amit Mishra (160), Piyush Chawla (156), Dwayne Bravo (153), Harbhajan Singh (150) and R Ashwin (138) on the list of wicket-takers.

Bhuvneshwar, who has played 121 games till now, can also become the second-fastest bowler and fastest Indian to take 150 wickets in the IPL. At the moment, the record is held by Sri Lankan legend Malinga, who achieved the historic feat in 105 IPL matches.
Bhuvneshwar set to play 100 games for SRH
Bhuvneshwar has been a front-line seamer for the Orange Army since the 2014 edition. He finished as the leading wicket-taker (23) when SRH won the title in 2016. In the upcoming season, he will become the first-ever player to feature in 100 IPL matches for the franchise. So far, Bhuvi has represented the SRH in 90 games, having taken 112 wickets at 22.62.
