Prize money distribution is based on a club's performance in the tournaments (UCL and Europa), as well as the value of their country's broadcast market. From the total earnings, UEFA reserves 12%. 8% is sent to Football Associations and non-qualifying clubs for participation in play-offs, a further 8% is reserved by UEFA for European football.
