RCB vs MI: How to pick your ideal Fantasy XI?
It's the fight for survival as Royal Challengers Bangalore host Mumbai Indians in a must-win fixture. With 2 wins in 7 games, both teams will have to win 6 out of their remaining 7 games to make it to the playoff stage. With these two teams, picking your Fantasy XI is not going to be an easy task. So here is our guide.
ABD, Kohli, Mandeep, Rohit and Suryakumar Yadav
We expect this to be a high scoring contest as both teams have big-hitting batsmen. Hence we have decided to go with a 5 batsman line up. ABD, Virat Kohli and Mandeep Singh will be three batsmen from Bangalore while Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav are the two Mumbai Indians batsmen. Quinton de Kock will be our wicketkeeper ahead of Ishan Kishan.
Colin de Grandhomme and Krunal Pandya
The two all-rounders in this XI will be RCB's Grandhomme and MI's Krunal Pandya. Krunal has been excellent with the bat and ball so far. Considering the contest is being held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Krunal will have a huge role to play for Mumbai. Kohli has had troubles with his death over bowlers and Grandhomme should be an excellent option for him.
Murugan Ashwin, Mitchell McClenaghan and Mayank Markande
The three bowlers to complete this line up will be RCB's Murugan Ashwin and Mumbai Indians duo Mitchell McClenaghan and Mayank Markande. McClenaghan has been stellar for Rohit and his men over the years and he has proved it yet again this season. Markande will be looking to make the Purple Cap his own while Ashwin will be looking to prove his mettle.
Captain and Vice Captain
To extract maximum points from this XI we have decided to make Virat Kohli our captain. The RCB skipper's consistency makes him the best and the safest bet. Kohli has a fantastic record at the Chinnaswamy stadium and it wouldn't be wise to bet against him. Rohit will be our vice-captain as clearing the ropes at Chinnaswamy would be an easy task for him.
