RCB highlight India's incredible run after Pakistan lose to Bangladesh
Indian Premier League franchise, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have taken a humorous jab at the Pakistan cricket team. RCB's witty remark came after Pakistan suffered a 0-2 Test series defeat to Bangladesh. The defeat marks a low point for Pakistan, who have not secured a Test victory on home soil since February 2021. RCB mentioned the same in a cheeky banter on X.
Remark on Pakistan's Test performance
In response to Pakistan's poor performance, RCB posted a tweet saying, "Winning at home isn't as easy as this team makes it look like. And they are back this month." The post reminded the world how the Indian cricket team has not lost a Test series at home in over a decade.
Here's what RCB tweeted
Pakistan's disappointing performance against Bangladesh
Bangladesh scripted history by registering their maiden Test series triumph over Pakistan. They clinched the series 2-0 after recording a six-wicket triumph in the second and final match in Rawalpindi. The visitors came from behind in the 2nd Test, thereby claiming a six-wicket win. They chased down 185 on Day 5. As per Cricbuzz, Pakistan have now gone 10 Tests at home without a win (six losses and four draws).
India's impressive home record in Test cricket
India have maintained an exceptional record at home in Test cricket. They are unbeaten in 17 Test series since their loss to England in 2012. They have beaten Australia, West Indies, South Africa, England, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and New Zealand in this period. India won 40 out of 51 home Tests in this period, losing just four (two each to Australia and England). Seven of these matches were drawn. India will now host Bangladesh in a two-Test series.
