Seventh Indian with this feat
Jadeja, India's wicket-taker across formats, has finally touched the 300-wicket mark in the longest format. He is the seventh Indian to do so. The left-arm spinner is only behind Anil Kumble (619), Ravichandran Ashwin (522*), Kapil Dev (434), Harbhajan Singh (417), Ishant Sharma (311), and Zaheer Khan (311) in terms of wickets among Indians.
Third Indian with this record
By completing 300 Test wickets, Jadeja has entered an elite club of Indian all-rounders. He has become only the third Indian with the double of 300 wickets and 3,000 runs in Test cricket. Only Kapil Dev (5,248 runs) and Ashwin (3,422 runs) have attained this feat for India. Jadeja has 3,122 runs at an average of over 36 in Test cricket so far.
