Ravindra Jadeja, a veteran all-rounder of the Indian cricket team, has reached a remarkable milestone by playing his 200th One Day International (ODI) match.
The landmark game was India's opening campaign against Bangladesh in the Champions Trophy 2025, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
With this, Jadeja became only the third spinner and the 15th player overall to have represented India in 200 ODIs.

However, Jadeja's journey to his 200th ODI wasn't easy.
He could have achieved the feat earlier had he been included in the playing XI for the third and final ODI against England.
But since he was dropped from the match, he had to wait for the Champions Trophy for the big achievement.
Nevertheless, Jadeja's resilience has seen him etch his name with other Indian cricketing legends who have played over 200 ODIs.

In the tournament opener of the Champions Trophy 2025, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first.
However, the decision backfired quickly as India, led by Rohit Sharma, produced a brilliant bowling display.
Openers Soumya Sarkar and captain Najmul Hossain Shanto were sent back for a duck, while Tanzid Hasan was dismissed by Axar Patel after a quickfire 25 runs off 25 balls.
This left Bangladesh in a spot of bother early in their first game of the season.

Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid takes the third spot with 340 caps (1996-2011).
Mohammad Azharuddin (1985-2000) and Sourav Ganguly (1992-2007) round out the top five with 334 and 308 appearances respectively.
Notably, the three spinners with 200+ caps are Anil Kumble (269), Harbhajan Singh (234), and Ravindra Jadeja.

In 134 ODI innings, the all-rounder has amassed 2,779 runs at an average of 32.69. He boasts a strike rate of 85.32.
Jadeja also owns 13 fifties alongside a high score of 87.
Meanwhile, with the ball the veteran has picked up 226 scalps in 200 ODIs. In 192 innings, he has an economy rate of 4.86 (AVG: 35.54).
He also owns two five-wicket hauls and seven four-wicket hauls. However, Jadeja went wicket-less in the opening match vs Bangladesh.
